Bramley Johnson
Bramley has dedicated over a decade and a half to the search fund community, working closely with, for, and investing in various search funds. As the Managing Director of Avanti Ventures, a seasoned investment firm dating back to 1988 and an investor in Europe’s first search fund, Bramley brings a wealth of experience to the table. Bramley has invested in search funds on five different continents.
Based in Barcelona, Bramley is the former Director of the International Search Fund Center. His responsibilities encompass coordinating prominent events like the International Search Fund Center conference, the largest search fund conference outside of the US, as well as the European Investors Summit.
Bramley founded the European CEO Summit as well as the Women in Search Forum. He was a contributor to Jan Simon’s Search Funds & Entrepreneurial book, was interviewed on the Found and Funded search fund podcast and helped with the completion of the IESE Selected Observations Study (2024). In addition, he mentors aspiring searchers as they embark on their journey to build and secure funding for their own search funds.

Carl Lundberg
Carl is a London-based chartered accountant, corporate finance advisor and CEO at Gerald Edelman LLP, having progressed from graduate trainee to CEO in 13 years.
Carl has been advising clients on SME transactions for over a decade and regularly began advising searchers around 5 years ago. Since then, Carl has become the leading advisor to search funds and self-funded searchers in the UK and has also invested in several traditional search funds, equity gaps in self-funded search deals and ‘Holdcos’.
Having huge passion for the community has not only led Carl to founding the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Awards in 2023, an annual event held in London celebrating entrepreneurship through acquisition and those contributing to its success, but also to founding and hosting the Found & Funded podcast, on which he discusses the search fund space with expert guests from the community.
